Porsche India showcased its first all-electric SUV, the Macan Electric, at the Auto Expo 2025. Officially launched in early 2024, the Macan Electric represents a new chapter for Porsche in the Indian electric vehicle market. The Macan Electric combines performance and luxury in a compact SUV package, built on a fresh platform and taking design cues from the Taycan, Porsche’s flagship electric sedan.
Design Dimensions and Features
The Porsche Macan Electric is a compact premium SUV with the following dimensions:

Adhering to Porsche’s signature and sporty design, the Macan Electric features sharp LED headlights at the front and frameless side doors, enhancing its athletic stance. The SUV rides on 20-inch alloy wheels, while a full-width LED light bar and modern Porsche badging complete the design at the rear.
Luxurious Cabin and Technology
Inside, the Macan Electric delivers a premium, modern cabin experience with high-quality materials. Key features include:
- Infotainment and Displays: A 10.9-inch infotainment system, a 12.6-inch digital driver’s display, and an additional 10.9-inch passenger display.
- Comfort and Convenience: Dual-zone climate control, ambient lighting, an optional head-up display, and 18-way adjustable front seats.
- Audio: A 14-speaker Bose premium sound system.
- Safety: Eight airbags, a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), ISOFIX mounts, electronic stability control (ESC), and advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS).
Performance and Range
A 95 kWh battery pack powers the Macan Electric. The top-spec Turbo variant has a dual-motor setup, delivering 639 bhp and 1,130 Nm of torque. The SUV accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.3 seconds and reaches a top speed of 260 km/h.
With a claimed range of up to 590 km (WLTP), the Macan Electric balances daily usability with long-distance capability. It supports DC fast charging, allowing the battery to recharge from 10% to 80% in approximately 21 minutes.
Pricing and Competition
Priced at ₹1.21 crore (ex-showroom), the Macan Electric is positioned in the luxury electric SUV segment. It competes with the Audi Q8 e-tron and the BMW iX.
