Nissan has launched the all-new Gravite in India at an introductory price of Rs 5.65 lakh. Positioned as a 7-seater MPV, the Gravite marks the start of Nissan’s renewed product push in the country and is manufactured locally in Chennai. With prices going up to Rs 8.49 lakh for the AMT, it is aimed squarely at value-focused family buyers.
Design and presence
The Gravite adopts Nissan’s signature C-shaped lighting signature with LED headlamps, integrated DRLs, LED fog lamps and crystal-edge LED tail lamps. The grille gets a Piano Black finish, and there is prominent hood branding that Nissan claims is unique in the segment.
High ground clearance, pronounced wheel arches and roof rails lend it an SUV-like stance despite its MPV positioning. Wide-opening doors are designed to improve access to all three rows.
It is offered in five colours, including Forest Green, Onyx Black, Blade Silver, Storm White and Metallic Grey.
Cabin and practicality
Inside, the Gravite focuses on modularity. Seating can be configured from two to seven occupants, and the third row can be removed to free up luggage space.
Boot capacity stands at:
- 625 litres in 5-seat configuration
- 320 litres in 6-seat configuration
- 84 litres in a full 7-seat layout
Cabin storage includes a cooled lower glove box, an upper glove box, and a cooled centre console. The air conditioning system includes three-row vents and separate second-row controls.
Features and tech
The dashboard features an 8-inch floating infotainment screen with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, paired with a 7-inch fully digital instrument cluster.
Other features include:
- Wireless charger
- Auto LED headlamps with follow-me-home function
- Walk-away lock and approach unlock
- Front and rear parking sensors
- A Limited Launch Edition adds JBL speakers, dual dash cam, air purifier, ambient lighting and cosmetic exterior elements.

- Traction Control
- Hill-start assist
- Brake assist
