Could the Brabus Bodo be the next Bond car?

Meet the Brabus Bodo, a V12 powered Super GT based on the Aston Martin Vanquish. But this isn’t just another body kit by Brabus. This is a ground up car designed entirely by Brabus, and it’s honestly one of the most insane cars you’ll ever see. If you want to get your hands on one, you better hurry because only 77 units will ever be produced.

Powering the Bodo is a 5.2-litre twin-turbo V12 producing a massive 985bhp and 1200Nm of torque. There is no hybrid trickery here, all that power is pure muscle and it is sent exclusively to the rear wheels via an eight speed dual clutch automatic gearbox. Performance figures are equally wild with 0 to 100kmph coming up in just 3 seconds flat and a top speed of 360kmph.

On the outside, it gets a large grille up front along with sleek LED lighting, a massive bonnet to house the V12 engine, seven individual LED lighting elements in each tail lamp, and stacked quad exhausts. Down the side, the Bodo features a long low stance, 21-inch alloy wheels, blacked out exteriors, a dramatic swooping roofline, and a carbon fibre tailgate.

Step inside and you’re greeted by an all black interior featuring Brabus logos, the car’s silhouette embossed onto the seats, Bodo Buschmann’s signature on the door cards, and carbon fibre paddle shifters. The screens and infotainment are carried over from the Aston Martin Vanquish, including a 10.3 inch infotainment screen and a 12.3 inch digital driver’s display.

The name “Bodo” also holds historical significance in the Brabus lineup as it is named after Bodo Buschmann, one of the co-founders of Brabus. Interestingly, the name “Brabus” itself comes from combining the “Bra” from Klaus Brackmann and the “Bus” from Bodo Buschmann. Notably, Klaus Brackmann later sold his shares in the company to Bodo Buschmann for just 100 euros.
