BMW India unveiled the BMW X1 Long Wheelbase All Electric at the Auto Expo 2025. This is BMW's first locally produced electric vehicle in India, manufactured at the BMW Group Plant in Chennai. The SUV, available in the eDrive20L drivetrain configuration, can be booked at authorized BMW dealerships nationwide starting today.

The BMW X1 Long Wheelbase All Electric eDrive20L M Sport is priced at ₹49,00,000 (ex-showroom). This price includes GST and applicable cess but excludes road tax, insurance, and other local levies.
Design
With a length of 4,616 mm and a wheelbase of 2,800 mm, the X1 Long Wheelbase should offer ample interior space, making it one of the largest five-seater SUVs in its segment. The vehicle showcases a bold design, featuring the signature BMW kidney grille, Adaptive LED headlights, and a striking rear diffuser. - 11 kW AC charging: 0%-100% charge in approximately 6 hours and 30 minutes.
BMW provides a complimentary Wallbox charger with installation and access to its fast charging network in 35 cities across India. Owners can also use public charging networks through a unified payment gateway.
Safety and Assistance Systems
The X1 Long Wheelbase comes with a suite of safety features:
- Driver Assistance Systems: Lane Departure Warning, Blind Spot Assistant, and Automatic Emergency Braking.
