Aston Martin DB12 Palm Beach Edition

When Aston Martin says one-off, they mean it. The DB12 Volante Palm Beach Edition is a bespoke celebration of Florida’s sun-drenched affluence, created by the Q by Aston Martin division with help from Aston Martin Palm Beach. One part art, one part engineering, and altogether unmistakable, it’s designed to turn heads in a region where Lamborghinis are practically background noise.

This unique Volante is finished in Frosted Glass Blue, a colour that sparkles under sunlight thanks to glass flakes suspended in the paint’s topcoat. Applying it involves meticulous hand-spraying, a labour-intensive method chosen because anything less wouldn’t do justice to Palm Beach’s glittering persona.

Step inside and the cabin continues the opulence. Aurora Blue and Ivory leather dominate, offset with spicy red stitching that adds a subtle zing. The trim? Linear Light Olive Ash wood, book-matched and placed across the dashboard, centre console, door panels, and even the seatbacks. As a final flourish, the latitude and longitude of Palm Beach are embossed into the leather dashboard, just in case the owner forgets where they parked.

There’s also a palm-leaf motif woven through the design. It’s on the seats, it’s on the sills, and it’s in the air, figuratively, of course.

Under the bonnet, there’s no change, and rightly so. The 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 delivers 671 bhp and a stout 800 Nm of torque. That’s enough to get the DB12 Volante from 0 to 100 kmph in just about 3.4 seconds. The gearbox is an 8-speed automatic, and if you ask nicely, it will crackle and pop on downshifts.

This car isn’t about numbers. It’s about presence, about detail, and about having something nobody else has. If every Ferrari in town is red, this one makes a statement in blue.
