Updated Yamaha RayZR and Fascino launched in India

Yamaha has given its 125cc scooter range a refresh, and while these updates don’t completely change the RayZR 125 Fi Hybrid or Fascino 125 Fi Hybrid, they do make the scooters feel more up to date. The changes are mainly focused on styling, colours and features.

The RayZR 125 Fi Hybrid and Fascino 125 Fi Hybrid continue to be powered by the same engine, but they now get new colour options, updated graphics and a TFT display on the top trims. Here is everything you need to know about the updated Yamaha 125cc scooter range.

Engine

Powering both the scooters is the same 125cc air-cooled engine which produces 8hp at 6500rpm and 10.3Nm of torque at 5000rpm. Both scooters continue to use Yamaha’s Smart Motor Generator (SMG) Hybrid Technology, along with Enhanced Power Assist, Silent Start and Stop & Start System. These features are particularly useful for city riding. The Stop & Start System can help reduce unnecessary fuel consumption when the scooter is waiting at traffic lights, while the Silent Start System makes starting the engine a smoother and quieter affair.

Both scooters also get practical features such as telescopic suspension, 21-litre under-seat storage, side-stand engine cut-off, E20 fuel compatibility and smartphone connectivity.

Styling and Features

The Yamaha RayZR Street Rally now gets a colour TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation. The scooter also receives new colour options across its variants. The RayZR Drum variant is available in a new Metallic Black paint scheme, while the RayZR Disc variant gets three colour options: Metallic Black, Dark Matte Blue and Ice Fluo Vermillion. The RayZR Street Rally LCD variant is offered in Ice Fluo Vermillion and Matte Black. The top-spec RayZR Street Rally TFT variant gets Matte Titan and Matte Black paint schemes.

The Yamaha Fascino 125 Fi Hybrid has also received a makeover. The Fascino S variant now gets a colour TFT instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation. It also features a new paint scheme along with revised design accents, giving the scooter a fresher look. The Fascino Drum variant is now available in a new Yellow Cocktail paint scheme, while the Fascino Disc variant gets three colour options: Metallic Light Green, Cool Blue Metallic and Matte Black. The top-spec Fascino S variant is offered in a new Metallic Orangish Gray paint scheme.
