TVS Motor Company has updated its Apache RTR range with a few feature additions to the Apache RTR 160 and Apache RTR 160 4V. While there are no mechanical changes to either motorcycle, the updates add new safety, convenience and connectivity features. These updated versions will now sit at the top of their respective variants, giving buyers a few more features without any changes to the core mechanical package.
TVS Apache RTR 160
The Apache RTR 160 now gets a Traction Control System as a safety feature, along with LED indicators and hazard lamps. While these aren’t major changes, they add a little more equipment to the motorcycle and improve its everyday usability. The rest of the motorcycle remains unchanged, including its design and mechanical package.
It is powered by the same 159.7cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled, two-valve engine. It produces around 16hp at 8750rpm and 13.85Nm of torque at 7000rpm. The updated Apache RTR 160 is now priced at ₹1,27,990 (ex-showroom).
TVS Apache RTR 160 4V
The Apache RTR 160 4V receives a more substantial set of feature updates. It now gets a 5-inch TFT display with Google Maps mirroring, along with a panic braking alert as an additional safety feature. TVS has also added a USB Type-C charging port, giving the motorcycle a more modern connectivity and convenience package. Apart from these changes, the motorcycle remains mechanically unchanged.
The Apache RTR 160 4V is powered by a 159.7cc, single-cylinder, oil-cooled, four-valve engine. It produces around 17hp at 9250rpm and 14.73Nm of torque at 7500rpm. The updated Apache RTR 160 4V is priced at ₹1,41,440 (ex-showroom).
