Street Triple gets sportier: New Street Triple 765 RX and Moto2 edition unveiled.

Overview

Triumph has launched more track focused counterparts of its Street Triple 765. The new 765 RX and 765 Moto2 edition. With these variants, Triumph aims to bring Moto2-inspired precision and heightened sportiness to its middleweight lineup. Here is everything you need to know about them.

Design

Street Triple 765 RX and 765 Moto2 edition. Both variants build on the Street Triple’s established performance base, but take a more focused approach with sharper ergonomics, upgraded hardware and styling cues inspired by Triumph’s racing programs. The RX brings a more aggressive street-sport character, while the Moto2 Edition draws directly from Triumph’s involvement in the Moto2 championship, featuring components and design elements that echo its racing DNA.

​The Street Triple 765 RX features special design bits which differentiate it from the 765 RS. It gets a new matte aluminum colour, RX logo on the seat, exhaust and handlebar. While the Moto2 edition gets a new mineral grey/crystal white colour and special Moto2 livery, and it's limited to just 1000 units, each Moto2 edition features an individually numbered top yoke. The RX and Moto2 editions also feature a special clip-on handlebar, which makes the riding position more aggressive and track-focused. The Moto2 edition also features special carbon fibre bits.

Engine and Gearbox

​Both of them are built on the same platform and feature the same 765cc inline-3 producing 128bhp at 12000rpm and 80Nm of torque at 9500rpm. The engine is mated with 6-speed gearbox with slip and assist clutch and quickshifter which come as a part of standard fitment.

Suspension and Brakes

They get a completely different suspension setup. At the front, it gets Öhlins NIX30 completely adjustable suspension with 115mm of wheel travel and Öhlins STX40 piggyback reservoir monoshock with 131mm of travel at the rear. At the front it gets twin 310 mm floating discs with Brembo stylema 4-piston calipers, At the rear it gets a single 220mm disk with Brembo single piston caliper. 

Rider aids and features

The Street Triple 765 RX and Moto2 Edition come equipped with a comprehensive suite of rider aids, including cornering ABS, switchable traction control and multiple riding modes tailored for varying road and track conditions. They also feature a bi-directional quickshifter, ride-by-wire throttle and a fully digital TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity. Both new variants carry over the same electronic and convenience features found on the Street Triple RS, ensuring a familiar yet performance-focused experience.
