KTM 1390 Super Duke RR “Beast” unveiled

It’s not every day that KTM calls one of their bikes a “beast”. After the highly sought-after 2021 Super Duke 1290 RR, the RR moniker returns with the brand new 2026 Super Duke 1390 RR, limited to just 350 units globally. It's lighter, sharper and the most extreme version of the Superduke yet!

V-twin Insanity

KTM motorcycles are known for their explosive power delivery, and the 2026 KTM 1390 Super Duke RR is the epitome of that. It's powered by a 1350cc LC8 V-twin producing 190bhp and 145Nm of torque, mated to a 6-speed gearbox with a bi-directional quickshifter. KTM has also equipped it with a titanium Akrapovic exhaust, which not only amplifies the sound but also optimises the airflow for better performance.

Lighter, sharper and better equipped

The 1390 Super Duke RR gets lighter carbonfibre all over its bodywork, and along with lighter forged wheels and lighter components, it helps shave off 11kg from the standard Super Duke. It gets lightweight 17-inch forged wheels that are 1.5kg lighter than the standard cast wheels, reducing the unsprung mass, and it gets special top-of-the-line Michelin Power Cup 2 tyres.

The suspension duties are handled by MotoGP-inspired electronically adjustable WP Pro Components 8548 front fork and a fully adjustable WP Pro Components 8750 monoshock at the rear. Alongside top-of-the-line suspension hardware, the SuperDuke also gets twin 320mm front discs with 4-piston Brembo Hypure sport monoblock calipers and a 240mm disc at the rear with 2-piston floating calipers.

How big do you want your screen?

The KTM 1390 Super Duke is equipped with a massive 8.88-inch colour TFT touchscreen display, with a special Beast mode which limits the display to just speed and rpm. There's also a special ride mode button on the new 6-way switch cubes, which is optimised for ease of use. The switch cubes get backlighting and haptic feedback as standard.

Other features include the standard KTM Tech Pack, 3 riding modes, a lap timer in track mode, multiple modes of ABS and traction control, wheelie control, and smartphone connectivity.

Prices and rivals

The prices of the KTM Super Duke 1390 have not been revealed yet, but expect to pay eye-watering prices for this exotic Austrian beast. KTM says the deliveries of this new Superduke will begin from May, and its main rivals will be the Kawasaki ZH2 and the Ducati Streetfighter V4S.
