Italian two-wheeler manufacturer Italjet is set to enter the Indian market partnered with Motohaus India.
The official India unveiling scheduled for December 4 and 5, 2026, at India Bike Week (IBW) with plans to introduce three models from its Dragster range, including the Dragster 300, Dragster 459 and Dragster 700, which will be locally assembled and customer deliveries expected to commence next year.
Here's everything you need to know about the upcoming India lineup.
Design
The Italjet Dragster range design features an exposed tubular steel trellis frame, aggressive bodywork and an unconventional chassis layout, with the mechanical structure forming part of the overall styling rather than being hidden beneath conventional bodywork.
The Dragster 300 features Italjet's Independent Steering System (ISS), which separates steering input from suspension movement and gives the scooter its distinctive front-end.
The Dragster 459 and Dragster 700 take the same design philosophy further bigger proportions to accommodate their parallel-twin engines.
The Dragster 459 is offered internationally in Orange Black and Silver Black colour combinations, while the Dragster 700 is available in Black Yellow and Red White option.
Features & Technology
The Dragster range gets full LED lighting and TFT instrumentation, with the higher-capacity models also featuring additional electronic rider assistance systems.
The Dragster 300 features Italjet's Independent Steering System (ISS), which is one of the major engineering highlights of the model, along with its Brembo braking ABS hardware.
Moving to the Dragster 459, the scooter gets Italjet's SmartShift transmission technology, which similar to modern cars, uses an electronically controlled system to offer both automatic operation and manual-style gear selection through handlebar-mounted paddle shifters.
Both 459 & 700 models further feature premium components from Marzocchi and Pirelli, with the Dragster 700 additionally getting a titanium Akrapovič exhaust system as standard in its international Twin Premium specification.
Engine & Performance
The Italjet Dragster 300 is powered by a 278cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder, four-valve engine producing 23.8hp @8,250rpm and 26Nm of torque @6,250rpm, paired with a CVT transmission plus automatic centrifugal clutch and the instant stall-proof acceleration delivered through a zero-slip gear-type final drive.
The Dragster 459 gets a 449cc, liquid-cooled, DOHC, parallel-twin engine producing 47.6hp @9,500rpm and 41Nm of torque @8,000rpm, paired with a six-speed SmartShift transmission, offering automatic as well as manual-style gear selection through the handlebar-mounted paddle shifters.
At the top of the lineup, the Dragster 700 is powered by a 698cc, liquid-cooled, DOHC, parallel-twin engine producing 68hp @8,000rpm and 67Nm of torque @5,500rpm in its international specification, paired with a six-speed manual gearbox, a wet multi-plate hydraulically actuated clutch and chain final drive.
Chassis, Suspension & Braking
The Dragster range uses an exposed tubular steel trellis frame as its central structural element, although the suspension and chassis components differ between the three different models.
The Dragster 300 gets a single-arm front suspension with a hydropneumatic shock absorber and adjustable spring, with the rear linkage-actuated trailing-arm suspension.
The Dragster 459 and Dragster 700 share a more conventional performance-oriented setup, featuring fully adjustable Marzocchi USD front forks and an adjustable Marzocchi rear monoshock with Italjet's Stiffness Adjustment System (ISAS) as models ride on 15-inch alloy wheels, wrapped in Pirelli tyres, 120/70 ZR15 at the front and 160/60 ZR15 at the rear.
Braking on the Dragster 300 is handled by a 240mm front disc and a 175mm rear disc, both with Brembo ABS calipers, while the 459 and 700 get twin 270mm front discs with Brembo ABS calipers, along with a 260mm rear disc as well as proper traction control.
