Honda has launched the Rebel 300 in India, expanding its cruiser motorcycle lineup with a more accessible entry-level model. The Rebel 300 is offered in two variants: a standard variant and a variant equipped with Honda’s E-Clutch technology. It will be sold exclusively through Honda BigWing dealerships and will be manufactured in India.
Design
The Honda Rebel 300 gets a classic bobber-inspired design with a low-slung stance and a minimalist appearance. It features a teardrop-shaped fuel tank, a low seat and a relaxed riding position, giving it the typical cruiser silhouette. It gets blacked-out engine, chassis and other components.
Engine and Performance
The Rebel 300 is powered by a 286cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that produces 27.3hp and 26.6Nm of torque. The engine is paired with a 6-speed gearbox. Both the standard and E-clutch variants get the same engine specifications and produce the same power.
Suspension and Brakes
Suspension duties on the Rebel 300 are handled by telescopic forks at the front and twin shock absorbers at the rear. The motorcycle rides on 16-inch alloy wheels at both ends, which complements its low-slung cruiser design. Braking duties are handled by disc brakes both at the front and at the rear.
Features
The Rebel 300 gets a circular TFT instrument display that gives the motorcycle a modern touch while retaining its classic design theme. The display comes with Honda RoadSync connectivity and supports turn-by-turn navigation.
The Rebel 300 is also offered with an E-Clutch variant, which allows the rider to operate the bike without using the clutch. However, the conventional clutch lever is still retained, allowing riders to manually operate the clutch whenever required.
Pricing and Market Positioning
The Honda Rebel 300 is offered in two variants: Standard and E-Clutch. The standard variant is priced at ₹2.22 lakh (ex-showroom) and the E-Clutch variant is priced at ₹2.62 lakh (ex-showroom). It will be sold exclusively through Honda BigWing dealerships in India. The Rebel 300 will rival the Royal Enfield Goan Classic 350 and Yezdi Roadster.
