EICMA 2024: Hero Xpulse 210 Revealed; Everything You Need to Know!

Blame the teasers or our sixth sense, we knew Hero was planning to go big at this year’s EICMA and they certainly did! Hero Motocorp took the charge and unveiled as many as 4 production-ready models at the ongoing EICMA 2024. While one of them, the Vida Z, is going to be specific for the European markets, the other three are bound to come to India. The Xpulse 200 has been around for quite some time and Hero has timely updated its offroader to stay relevant but at the EICMA 2024, it has received the most substantial upgrade since its inception. The Xpulse 200 is soon going to be dead. In comes the Xpulse 210 and here’s what you need to know about it!

Design

The new Xpulse 210 has been developed in close collaboration with Ross Branch, Hero Motorsport’s rally star and the dakar inspiration can be clearly seen in the updated panels. It has received a bigger fly screen but the most comprehensive visual upgrade comes in the form of redesigned side panels including new tank shrouds. Even the headlamp cluster has been redesigned a little and now features Hero’s signature DRLs. The exhaust particularly, reminds us of the unit seen on the Impulse. The exhaust itself is covered in glossy black panels, thus saving the pillion from the heat of it. The tail lamp has also been redesigned to suit the revamped aesthetics. Overall, we can expect the Xpulse 210 to command more road presence than before.

Engine and underpinnings

At long last, Hero has finally bestowed the Xpulse with a more powerful engine and they had to borrow it from the XMR. This 210cc DOHC, liquid-cooled engine is tuned to deliver 24.5 bhp and 20.4 Nm of torque in the Xpulse 210. I distinctly remember the XMR’s powertrain to be lacking in low end grunt and I sincerely hope that Hero would have tuned the engine to suit the characteristics of the Xpulse. That being said, courtesy of the updated powertrain, the Xpulse finally gets a sixth cog. With an additional gear and more ponies to run around with, the Xpulse can finally become an able mile muncher on the highways.

When it comes to underpinnings, it gets updated suspension that will offer 210mm front and 205mm rear suspension travel. Ground clearance stands at a respectable 220mm and what makes the new Xpulse more versatile is the adjustable handlebar. The updated Xpulse will continue with the same wheel combination of 21-inch at the front and 18-inch at the back, indicating its authenticity when it comes to offroading. Needless to say, if the Xpulse 210 is not going to suffice for your skills, Hero will also offer a Rally Kit for dirt scorchers like you.

More features and tech

Consider it a generational upgrade because not only a new engine, but the Xpulse is also gaining a newly designed 4.2-inch TFT screen . In the process, it will also get switchable ABS modes to go along with the upgrade. The TFT screen should also be Bluetooth enabled, thus enabling turn by turn navigation as well.
