Ducati has launched the 2026 Monster V2 in India. It is powered by a 890cc V2 engine that’s shared with the Panigale V2 and the Multistrada V2. The Ducati Monster comes in two variants — the standard Monster and the Monster+, which adds a sleek headlight cowl and a passenger seat cover. Engine and Gearbox
The Ducati Monster V2 is powered by an 890cc V2 engine which produces 111hp at 9000 rpm and 91.1Nm of torque at 7250 rpm. The engine is paired to a 6-speed gearbox with Ducati quick shift 2.0 as standard.
Chassis, Suspension and Brakes
The Ducati Monster V2 is built around a new Monocoque frame. Ducati claims that the 2026 Monster V2 is 4kg lighter than the previous Monster. Suspension duties are handled by 43mm Showa upside-down forks with 130mm of travel and Showa monoshock with 160mm of travel at the rear. Braking duties are handled by twin 320mm discs with Brembo four piston callipers at the front and a single 245mm disc with Brembo two piston callipers at the rear. The Ducati Monster V2 gets 17-inch alloy wheels at both the ends wrapped in Diablo Rosso IV tyres.
Features and Rider-Aids
In terms of features and rider-aids, the Ducati Monster V2 gets four ride modes - Road, Sport Urban and Wet. It gets a six-axis IMU with cornering ABS, Ducati Traction control, Wheelie control and cruise control. It also gets a 5-inch TFT display with Ducati multimedia system, turn-by-turn navigation.
Pricing and Market positioning
The Ducati Monster V2 has been priced at ₹13.99 lakh for the Ducati Red colourway, whereas the Iceberg White has been priced at ₹14.23 lakh. The Ducati Monster+ has been priced at ₹14.34 lakh for the Ducati Red colourway, whereas the Monster+ Iceberg White has been priced at ₹14.45 lakh (ex-showroom). The Ducati Monster will compete with the Kawasaki Z900 and the Triumph Street Triple 765 RS.
