2026 Vespa Primavera and Sprint S unveiled

Vespa has updated its Primavera and Sprint S series of scooters for the 2026 model year, with new connected features, enhanced safety and a fresher design. While there is no official launch confirmed for India yet, Vespa might quietly upgrade the current Vespa and the Vespa S models with the same changes.

Revised styling

Both the Primavera and the Sprint S series now get updated styling, with the Primavera retaining its classic Vespa silhouette, with round full LED headlamps, chrome brake levers, chrome mirrors and other chrome elements like the grille, exhaust heat shield and the rear grab rail.

The Sprint S, on the other hand, is a sportier offering with blacked out elements like the grille, brake levers, mirrors, exhaust heat shield and rear grab rails. It gets a square LED headlamp, a bigger front grille and a new blacked-out alloy design. The Primavera will be available in 7 colour options, and the Sprint S variants will be offered in 5 colourways.

Updated engines

Powering these new Primavera and the Sprint S scooters are Vespa's updated 125cc and 150cc engines that are now Euro 5+ compliant. The 150cc models get a 155cc 3 valve single-cylinder engine producing 12.3bhp at 7750rpm and 12.5Nm of torque at 6500rpm, while the 125cc models get a 124cc 3 valve single-cylinder engine with 10.8bhp at 8000rpm and 10.7Nm of torque at 6250rpm. Both models are equipped with a continuously variable transmission (CVT).

Both the 150cc and the 125cc models now get rear disc as standard, with single-channel ABS on the front wheel. The suspension remains the same, with a single-sided fork upfront with a hydraulic monoshock at the rear and 12-inch wheels.

More features

Both the 125cc and 150cc models get a 5-inch LCD instrument cluster with an optional Vespa MIA system for Bluetooth connectivity. There is also a new key fob for keyless starts and seat opening, along with a find by bike function, which blinks the indicators. Vespa will also be offering a whole host of accessories for these scooters, including a taller flyscreen, rear top box mount, handguards and side crashguards.
