The perfect recipe for Kari ft. EuroGrip

EuroGrip, a TVS tyre manufacturing effort, is out in the world trying to prove why their tyre is the one you should be buying, regardless of whether you have a TVS vehicle or not. Pretty amazing if you see it. Trying to make money when your rivals are selling motorcycles. That is not all, TVS has also been successful in making their tyre the official tyre of the Aprilia RS 457. Actually they are pretty proud of it and also see that in a positive light. Now let me ask you this, what is the perfect way of testing performance tyres? Bring 10 motorcycles to a racetrack that is arguably made for motorcycles, set them up with the tires that are highlighted, and let journalists go crazy on the track! And we agree with them!

The scene changes to Coimbatore, where we are showcased the people working in the company. Not only that, they also showcased why TVS can tell the people that EuroGrip is the way to go with such confidence. Tyre technology that is built outside, along with a team from India, and the concoction of it all has helped them come out with a true that is usable in many parts of the world.

They do have a good team in place. Starting from the head, who has worked in Pirelli, to the riders who provide the team with valuable feedback, everyone is experienced and everyone looks like they are hungry for success. And a new brand that is trying to make its mark, will require it as well. I mean they are out against some of the brands that are already established as a pursuable option by potential buyers. Everyone has the perfect recipe ready to take on the world. Then how do you pursue the audience?

With the help of their Protorq Extreme and RoadHounds, they will surely be able to make their mark. These are two tyres that are successfully working for them and for good reasons. Reason 1 is that the tyres are good. Well under constant thrashing on the track, the tyres were capable enough to hold themselves against riders who were pushing hard on the track. The tyre grip on the edges was a little bit of an issue with the Protorq Extremes but, that was us pushing hard on a race track. I don’t think anyone needs to push that hard on the road. However, one might just need that tyre edge grip in certain circumstances. The bigger surprise was the RoadHounds. Robust tyres that will look good on some mid-size 600 cc motorcycles and they also have the grip to cope. More than that, it is competitively priced to look like a lucrative option right out of the box.

EuroGrip aims to attack all the market segments because A, they can and B, they should! They not only cater to customers in India, but also customers in nearly 6 continents and that is saying something. The tech is there, the quality is there, and so is the price point… Now their only aim is to become a brand that is attractive enough for customers to either use or switch to these tyres when the time comes. What I really liked was the fact that they were so confident with the tyres that they gave me the keys to 10 motorcycles, gave me track and told me to do whatever I felt like… well almost whatever!
