Land Rover Unleashes the Defender OCTA: A Diamond Among SUVs

Land Rover throws down the gauntlet to the Mercedes-Benz G-Wagon with the introduction of the 2025 Defender OCTA. This pinnacle of the Defender range boasts enhanced power, exclusivity, and a price tag to match, starting at a staggering ₹ 1.15 crore.

The heart of the OCTA lies in its new engine - a 4.4-liter, twin-turbo V-8 sourced from BMW. This powerhouse churns out a monstrous 626hp and 750 Nm of torque, effortlessly surpassing the previously offered supercharged 5.0-liter V-8. Land Rover promises a thrilling 0-100 kmph sprint in a mere 3.8 seconds, with a potential top speed of 250kmph when equipped with the appropriate tires. Accompanying the ferocious performance is a quad exhaust system that guarantees a suitably aggressive soundtrack. Power is channeled through a smooth-shifting eight-speed automatic transmission.

The OCTA isn't just about brute force; it's also been meticulously crafted for conquering even the most challenging terrains. Compared to the standard Defender, the OCTA sits 2.8 cm higher off the ground and boasts a 7 cm wider track. This variant, starting at an even steeper ₹ 1.27 crore boasts a striking green interior with carbon fiber trim and exclusive 20-inch wheels.  Land Rover even offers the option of a captivating matte wrap for those who crave a truly head-turning appearance.
